Community Cancer Prevention in Action (CPiA) is a New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) program supporting local cancer prevention and risk reduction interventions using a policy, systems and environmental (PSE) change approach.<\/p>

Through a competitive award process, four organizations were awarded a 5-year NYSDOH contract beginning in October 2018. CPiA serves 12 counties across the state to decrease exposure to ultraviolet radiation; increase cancer screening rates for colorectal, breast and cervical cancers; and increase awareness of and support for other cancer prevention efforts.<\/p>
