Stony Brook Cancer Center

Serving: Suffolk and Nassau Counties

Stony Brook Cancer Center’s Cancer Prevention in Action Program (CPIA) works to support local cancer prevention interventions on Long Island. Our goals are to decrease exposure to ultraviolet radiation, promote sun safety and implement sun safe policies, and increase awareness of HPV vaccination in order to reduce the risk of cancer in our community.

In collaboration with Stony Brook Cancer Center’s Office of Community Outreach & Engagement, we are committed to reducing the cancer burden and disparities in our local community of Suffolk & Nassau counties.

Please visit https://cancer.stonybrookmedicine.edu/CancerResearch/COE to learn more.

Contact the CPiA team at Stony Brook Cancer Center to learn how you can take action against cancer in our community.
