New Outdoor Classroom for Gloversville Enlarged School District

After many months of planning and working with the Gloversville Enlarged School District on their sun safety policy, they received their outdoor classroom! St. Mary’s Healthcare CPiA team thanks the district who went above and beyond in planning their sun safety policy implementation. The district provided a concrete slab for the classroom and installed electrical for the classroom. Four picnic tables were donated by St. Mary’s Healthcare and a ramp will also be installed.

Delivery day marked a milestone for St. Mary’s Healthcare CPiA team, as the outdoor classroom is the largest structure the team has awarded to date. St. Mary’s is proud of the commitment to skin cancer prevention shown by Gloversville Enlarged School District. Through their new policy and outdoor classroom, the district will help reduce skin cancer risk for students and staff. Here’s to the future of sun safe outdoor instruction for students and faculty!
