About Us:

The focus of the Cancer Prevention in Action program is to raise awareness of the dangers of UV exposure from the sun and indoor tanning beds; work with local employers to provide a cancer screening paid time off benefit to employees; educate parents, young adults, teens, and providers on the importance of the HPV vaccine as cancer prevention.

We're Taking Action

Taking Action Against Skin Cancer is as easy as 1,2,3
  1. Consider your current Sun Safety practices with CPiA provided assessment tools.
  2. Work with CPiA to draft a Sun Safety policy.
  3. Put the policy into action.

Contact Patti Hogle at patti@gethealthyslc.org or call 315-261-4760 ext. 235 for more information on how to adopt your own Sun Safety Policy.

Paid Time-off for Cancer Screening Policies

City of Oswego – expanded PTO policy to 8 hours/year
